Looks like Hanson did away with pause in his delivery. I am really looking forward to seeing how effective he will be. The new motion should help keep him healthy...hopefully.

Interesting about Hanson.

To continue my negaBraving... I'm worried about the rotation.
Our no. 1 is a GB specialist and we backed him up by fielding an INF full of guys with zero range.
Our no. 2 is returning from injury and changing his delivery, so there's a lot of unknown there, despite his lofty potential and early positive returns.
Our "no. 3" is probably more like a no. 5 and should have been dealt for another piece that could really help this squad.
Our no. 4 had a fabulous start but struggled in the backhalf last year.
Our no. 5 is an unproven guy with tremendous potential.
I feel like we go into the year with question marks about every single SP we have, sans maybe Huddy, and we didn't do anything to help Huddy's strong suit.
eta: And when I say worried, I don't mean, "OH NO, WORST ROTATION EVER!!!" I mean that most people are considering this to be the backbone of the team.. the force that carries our average offense... and I'm just worried they won't be capable of doing that.

That's a compelling argument, but I will disagree.

i think they will be fine. if JJ stays healthy this year and finds a happy medium between 1st half of last year and 2nd half, ill be really happy.

You're worrying too much. That odds that all of those actually become problems for this team are very unlikely.

Yeah, one or two of those things could be an issue, but doubtful it could be a crazy big issue. Hell, if the Hudson thing becomes a huge issue they could just start Wilson his pitching days. Though Frediot probably wouldn't be smart enough to do that.

I've had a whiskey drink or seven too many so maybe it's just me, but I have absolutely no idea what this means.
I am also just adding on in our pursuit of 100 pages.
Carry on.

Oh, Dan was worried about us playing all infielders with no range during Huddy's starts and killing his numbers. I was just saying we always have all field/no hit Wilson on the bench to start over Pastornicky on those days if it's a huge issue.

I can't wait until baseball starts back. This is the worst time of the year for sports. I don't really give a damn about the NBA and college basketball only has a couple of good games on every week.
And then Frediot will have Uggla lay down a sac bunt on opening day and I will commence to throwing my remote through my TV.

I haven't watched a basketball game in like 3 year so I'm right there with you.

To be honest I like football and basketball, but when baseball starts that's when I get the most excited

The only basketball I watch is Bama, and well...our whole team is suspended so... Bring on baseball.
I am becoming more optimistic by the day about our potential this year. I'm sure that will stop when Fredi somehow finds a way to get a loss out of a sure win.

Agreed, this time sucks.

There is not a single reason this team won't be better than last year. Not a single position player overachieved last year so I don't expect much regression from anyone. Prado and Heyward can only get better. We get Bourn for a full year instead of having to run Schafer out there. Our younger guys have another year under their belt.
On the pitching side, our bullpen has more depth so the rest should be there for down the stretch. We get rid of Lowe and replace him with a lefty that has good potential, and also won't be shell shocked because he's been there before. If we have injuries to 2 of our top 4 starters like last year we'll be in trouble anyways so I can't possibly expect regression in that area.
Can't find a reason to think this team doesn't win 90+ games.
