What's depressing is that literally nothing has changed since the thread started.

We did have the trade of Lowe for a bag of balls and half a pack of Big League Chew but that has been about it.

It's going to stay that way until we get new ownership.

Great, just what we need someone with a career OBP of .303 against southpaws

If we trade both Prado and Jurrjens for Jones then I will flip my shite.

All of the "onoz don't trade away propects" guys are funny, we were a Hunter Pence away from a big time push if we were willing to deal just one of our ace prospects...now we're staring down the barrel of under .500 ball this season, not sure about McCann's future, chip is literally being held together with tape and pain injections, the corner OF spots are a joke...but at least we still have a few young arms who might be good at this level.

No way we can give up both for Jones.
Prado, historically, is better than Jones. Of course, Jones does offer the versatility of playing all 3 OF spots.

"What is OBP? I'm not a big stats guy. My eyes tell me that Schafer is on base all the time though."

Never gotten all the hype on him, when it comes to some of the hardest players to trade for. For awhile, the Orioles wouldn't even discuss his name.
Don't get me wrong, he's a solid player, but that's all he is. He has a little bit of everything, but does nothing great. Would prefer someone who was going to take some more walks, especially if they are going to strike out 100+ times.
With that said, I wouldn't be upset with the team if we got him if we don't give up too much. Jurrjens and one of our top 5 or so prospects, which is probably what the Orioles are asking for.

Yeah that's all I'd feel comfortable giving up.
