Well you made fun of me for bringing up a point you sarcastically implied everyone knew about yet you clearly don't have a handle ob the situation. I don't care wtf Hanley said as Fredi was leaving he doesn't like the guy. And the Marlins obviously chose Hanley over Fredi knowing the 2 couldn't co-exist. Remember he was fired a month later after this incident. Absolutely not just a coincidence.

I wish Fredi would get in an argument with one of our current players

WTF are you talking about?
You are acting like Hanley shot his mom, man.
Hanley was lazy on a play.
He got disciplined.
He acted immature and stupid about it.
They worked it out.

Well I bet they just had an awful time making that decision...

Why not?
Discipline issues happen. On every team. Everywhere. Everyone in the media had Fredi's back for the way he handled this.
The Marlins fired Fredi because he sucks.

Glad we took Robert Fick in the Rule 5 draft.
Was actually my first thought.

Even if he did it would only be a minor tiff therefore doesn't count (see above for reason for this logic).
Clearly the only way to truly start a true issue with your manager is to "frick his mom" or "shoot his mom". Clearly.
LULZ.

I'm not sure why you are acting like I'm some sort of a moron for saying it's not that big of a deal and shouldn't be considered when the player himself said he'll miss Fredi.

Doubtful.
Even if they don't like each other, it shouldn't matter. I think people get too caught up in the whole "team chemistry" thing sometimes.
They need to get along and work together and play well, but this is their job, after all. I work with people I don't like. We all do. You do your job, I do mine. Things work out.
JMO, but if they really let the opinion of Fredi on Hanley get in the way, they are stupid.
I'm more concerned with Hanley's attitude in general than Fredi's particular relationship with him.

I got rammed for saying those exact things after the Yunel trade
Posted on 12/8/11 at 11:40 am to SwampDonks
I'd love to get HanRam. I would hope that maturity would come with age. I would also love to see us make a move at Trumbo now that the Angels have The Machine. He could be a big rh bat that could play left field.

Trade for HanRam and fire Fredi. Two birds, one stone.

By me? Maybe.
Yunel isn't as good as Hanley

By everybody
I just hate when professional teams make trades just based on team chemistry, unless it is warranted by a player bad mouthing all his teammates or something along those lines.

Hanley & Minor Leaguer for JJ, Betancourt, & Hoover - gives us money to extend McCann... thoughts?
Posted on 12/8/11 at 1:24 pm to BallHawk
we will extend McCann regardless. No way in hell we let him go. As for Hanley, it would take a whole hell of alot to get him. Not sure if we would be able to part with what the marlins would want. Obviously a divisional rival will drive up the asking price.

We didn't give up that much for Uggla IMO

Wouldn't be so sure. He has an option for 2013 I believe, and he'll be 30 which is old for a catcher. He can't move to 1B with Freeman there. I think we SHOULD re-sign him. I just wasn't sold that it was a given that we WOULD. Betancourt is supposed to be the real deal and should be ML ready by 2014...

Freeman played LF in either high school or winter ball I believe.

Hmm, learn something new every day.
I guess it really depends on what we do. If we grab Hanley then I'm all for moving Freeman to LF down the road. If we grab an OF bat then obviously Freeman staying at 1B makes more sense.
