I'm OK with trading JJ...what if we make these two moves??
Sign Yuniesky Betancourt to play shortstop. I know he's offensively inept, but his D is solid and could be a good stopgap for Pastornicky...Meanwhile we trade JJ to Cincy for Yonder Alonso. I hear he's available. He can play a bench role this year (he bats right handed) and then take on the starter role next year in LF when Prado moves to 3B. Thoughts?

In other news, some other boards I read seem to think that the Braves are likely to sign Jonathan Broxton.

Broxton is a Georgia boy and would be a nice right handed setup guy to complement O'Flaherty and Venters. A one year deal. He is not getting a closer job with how he pitched last year. A good year as a setup guy and he's back closing for somebody else in 2013.
