He's been 10x better at the plate than even the most optimistic people thought he would be. He has been really solid on defense too, but that was more expected.

That right there was the problem with having Ross bunt. You take the bat out of the hands of a solid hitter and leave your fate to Wilkin Ramirez and Julio Lugo.

Granted, a single from Ross likely doesn't score Freddie since he runs like a 60 year old with arthritis, so I guess it wasn't a terrible decision.

I mean really, it's pretty fricking simple

give me a bat and put me at the plate and I'll at least hit the ball into the ground. Geez.

No reason you can leave runners at 2nd and 3rd like that after 3 great at bats

huge casty

We have been doing it consistently since the break. We had a runner on 3rd two times last night with no one out and couldn't get him in. Timely hitting has utterly abandoned us. It doesn't help that once you get past Ross our lineup goes from decent to garbage.

We aren't as bad as the Mariners or Padres, even with this lineup. I feel bad for their fans.

Probably. The only others I can think of are the Giants or the Astros, that's just off the top of my head so I really don't know if that's right.

Obviously teams like the mariners and padres are worse off hitting wise but as far as legit playoff contending teams I think us and the pirates take the cake. Neither one of us can hit a beach ball right now.
Eta in both lineups combined I think the highest avg is .280 ? W Freddy
