Fortunately, we have a young core of players, so our window is a wide one. I just don't see us doing much in the playoffs with a manager like Fredi. I hope I'm wrong.

Weird box score tonight for the top 5 batters which only produced 2 runs:

NM - 2 for 5, 1 run
MP - 2 for 5, 1 run, 1 double
FF - 3 for 5, 0 runs, 0 RBI, 1 double
DU - 3 for 4, 0 runs, 0 RBI, 1 double
DR - 2 for 4, 2 rbi

How did we not score more runs??? Also had 2 hits out of the 8th hole with Gonzalez. So over 7 batters, we were 14 for 30 with 4 doubles, 2 sacrifices, 1 walk and only get 2 runs.

Nice stats from Bourn. Fredi would probably start Schafer over Bourn anyways, higher obp being the false reason

The Brewers obtained $1 from the Braves for catcher Wil Nieves, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com (on Twitter). That's right - one dollar. The Braves will pay Nieves' remaining salary while he plays for their Triple-A affiliate.

So what are Giants doing roster wise to make room for Beltran?

one of these 5 infielders will be sent down:

Fontenot, Burris, Keppinger, Crawford, Belt

my guess is Crawford
