Vizcaino or Delgado will be traded for a bat at some point imo.

Is Andrew McCutchen untouchable since Pirates are still in it?

Neither will be traded this season, but the Braves will shed quite a bit of pitching between October and spring training imo.

Yes.

This has nothing to do with it, even if they were the Astros he would be.

I'm jealous of the Giants and how much talent ya'lls farm brought to the top. Thats what I'm hoping all this losing amounts to for the Astros. Although I'm not confident they won't frick it up

2008 Jason Castro over Justin Smoak
2009 Jio Mier
2010 Delino Deshields Jr. (most had this as an overdraft)
2011 George Springer...I'm actually alright with this one if he pans out

yeah Giants definitely do it the right way. we have some really good guys down there right now too. couple of really good arms. which is why i think Sanchez is gone.

as i'm sure you know, Stros are in desperate need of a new GM.

Swamp, who is in our second tier of pitching prospects?

depends on if you mean second tier such as decent prospects who project to be back end guys or bullpen guys, which would be Redmond and some others

or guys that will be next in line after our top 3 big guys, which are guys like Oberholtzer, Carlos Perez, and Abraham Espinosa

Espinosa is the only one throwing really well so far this year, but he's still very young

Andrew Friedman FTW. I think I'd develop a man crush on Jim Crane if he could pry AF out of Tampa. I fricking hate Ed Wade. He needs to be the first to go come September.

Here is a little write up about them when I wrote my top 10 prospects before the season started in the offseason thread. not much info but it's something

quote:

8. Carlos Perez(LHP) - Only 18 years old but could project to the next top of the rotation guy. Plus fastball but needs to develop his other pitches a bit better. Very raw and doesn't have much experience.

9. Brett Oberholtzer(LHP) - Another good lefty prospect. He has excellent control with above average offspeed pitches. In a couple years, I see him as a very solid middle of the rotation guy.

10. Abraham Espinosa(RHP) - I'm really looking forward to seeing him develop. He's only 17 years old but I believe he should project to a top of the rotation guy here in a few years. Showed excellent control in the Dominican Rookie League where he threw 70 innings and only walked 11, with a 1.41 ERA and 1.01 WHIP. I hope he continues to develop positively because he could be a great one
