Back to walking Votto. If you’re on the road in the bottom half and that runner at 2nd wins the game, you absolutely walk Votto. His run means nothing. But at home, I’m not sure I love just automatically putting him on making his hypothetical run put you down by 2. Lot easier to get 1 to keep playing than 2. Could have brought this left in again JV and see if you could get him to chase some shite off the plate. Oh well.
That said, maybe Snit was playing 4D chess and got the lefty/lefty matchup he wanted, even with the pressure of it being with the bases loaded. It worked, thank God.
