Inciarte 8
Albies 4
Freeman 3
Markakis 9
Suzuki 2
Camargo 5
Acuña Jr 7
Swanson 6
Folty 1

Braves did not sign Carter Stewart and will have two first round picks next June, the first of which will be the 9th overall selection as compensation for not signing Stewart.

Mississippi State will now have 2 2018 1st round pick pitchers as freshman on their team next year. Good grief

I didn't know this, but apparently you can't have a player go through a physical or medical examination before drafting them. That seems like such an outdated and shitty procedure. Teams should be allowed to know as much as possible before committing a high pick on someone.

"A club must offer a drafted player at least 40% of the slot value in order to be eligible to receive a compensation draft pick if the player does not sign. EXCEPTION: A club is not required to offer a drafted player at least 40% of the slot value in order to be eligible to receive a compensation draft pick if the player does not sign if the drafted player is one of the Top 50 pitchers designated by the MLB Commissioner's office prior to the draft and the pitcher declined to submit an MRI."

This is the rule and why the Braves offered what they allegedly did (40% of slot value or ~$2 million). Stewart likely didn't submit any MRI's pre draft and once the Braves saw his medicals they were clearly concerned (especially considering his curveball is the reason he's drafted so high) to the point they'd rather have the 9th pick next year than pay him slot value.

Apparently AA has done this a couple times before re: leveraging an injury against a prospect. One was Brady Singer.

I'm not mad, it'll be nice to have another 1st round pick next year since we'll have zero international money to spend

Also ensures Hess will return to LSU

Shitty end to a road trip that started out so well. And 4-4 would’ve sounded nice at this start of this trip. Hope we can come back home 5-5 at least.

People rip Snit and its deserved often times but AA has really done him no favors with the borderline pieces on the roster. He’s playing with 22 most nights. Danny Santana and Ryan Flaherty should be nowhere near this roster and there has been at least one pitcher that falls in that category most nights this year as well.

At least the bullpen has shown some signs of life the last half of the road trip. But the rotation has done no favors.

The bench needs major upgrades.

This team is so bad right now. Forget the bullahit replay call on Dansby. We should be used to those not going our way now. We lost this game when we had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and couldn't push a run across. This has been a problem for a few weeks now and it's getting aggravating.

Does it seem to anyone else that this team has absolutely no leadership right now? I get that we are the “baby Braves,” but you’ve got guys like Ozzie making absolutely bonehead moves on the bases, and laughing it off on the way back to the dugout. Vets like Freddie and Markakis show zero emotion, unless you count looking like someone just crop dusted you. And we have a manager that could literally be dead in the dugout and you wouldn’t know it.
