Though there's no reason to think otherwise right now, I really hope we re-sign Ross because of the increased interleague next year.

No homer here: Is there a better backup catcher in league? Solid hitter, solid fielder.

By the way, I'm in KC at Royals-Cards game.

Francoeur has been swinging at literally everything thrown. Batting .265 with .304 OBP.

He's great to have back there once a week or so.

I saw an article last year that said the top three catchers in batting runs per plate appearance from 2009-2011 were Mauer, McCann, and Ross according to Fangraphs.

Ross, like Hinske, can't sustain his numbers for weeks/months at a time, but they're very solid in their role.

I doubt there's anyone I'd rather have as my backup catcher besides maybe Mesorosco (or Montero if he counts )

Nothing but respect for him though. Phenomenal guy.

I wish he had some plate discipline

Doesn't surprise me on Ross.

And I always liked Frenchie. Hate that he didn't pan out. But man that guy never saw a pitch he didn't like.

Interleague is not being increased in terms of games played is it?

I think it's just being spread out over the whole season. I think it's still 144 NL games and 18 AL games.

I'm not sure if it's even been decided. On MLB Net they were saying same amount of games but I'm not sure.
