Is there any legitimate reason that CB Bucknor still has a job? Is the umpire's union THAT strong? He is universally considered the worst umpire in the entire league by players, managers, executives, and fans. Despite Angel Hernandez and Joe West. Because he got both of those calls wrong. He was out the first time and safe the second.

Probably because he was watching the play, knew Murphy was out, and did it out of habit. He failed to take the CB Bucknor factor into account.
