Gee. I wonder if the error and wild pitch were affected at all by the torrential rain...

1. Gattis would have stopped that ball.

2. It really isn't safe to play baseball in this. These umpires can frick themselves.

That is a typical McCann play, rain or not.

Why even bother with a tarp at this point?

Exactly. And it cause BJ to miss the ball when he tried to scoop it. There's no reason to play in those conditions

For frick's sake. Can't you just celebrate Gattis.

I am not going to explain anymore how a six man bullpen isn't going to work and your only options are to send Gattis to AAA or DFA Schafer

just sayin, they scored it as a wild pitch

Not excusing the play, but McCann shouldn't have been in that situation. Ballgame should have been postponed/called due to rain

Have to agree... McCann pulls that shite all the time on low pitches (not turning his glove over).

Because the Mets tied it and it can't end as an official game if this doesn't go away after an hour.

Yeah, I wasn't really directing my comment at you but at the person who scored it a wild pitch. fricking pitch never hit the ground until it was past McCann.

And, yeah, the umps playing in that downpour was bullshite.
