He entered play 3rd in the NL in WAR and has been the best defender in baseball so far.
He is obviously struggling offensively early, but he's still been very, very valuable.
If he can return to his true talent level (we'll say .250/.330/.420 very conservatively) he is easily the best player on the roster.
