Wood pitched 7 near perfect innings. I can see both sides of why to pull him and why to leave him in. Me personally, I pinch hit for him in that situation. If I knew he could lay down a bunt, my opinion would probably be different.

It's not? You don't leave a pitcher that can't bunt to save his life in to bunt in a 0-0 game in the 8th just so he can throw one more inning

What a disappointing 8th innning. With the offense the way it has been this series and with wood not being able to bunt.. you have to bring in a pinch hitter.. Dude needs to learn to bunt.

Wood was dealing...could have easily gone 9. Maybe he's a worse bunter than I remember but he still should be capable of that with 0 outs.

Wood cannot bunt. If it was Teheran I would be fine with it.

Ok I guess I just haven't paid attention to his bunting. I'll admit he looked awful that AB

Man on 1st with 1 out? Maybe. Man on 2nd, no outs in a clear sacrifice/scoring situation with a fresh pen? No question what I'd do. Especially with Pastornicky on the bench, who is a terrific bunter.

J Up just as lost this series as he was locked in on the homestand.

Late on everything.
