I think that's exactly what happened.

Yanks resign Rizzo. Dodgers may be dealing against themselves at this point.

Blue Jays may get him

I hope. Would be a nice piece to have with all of their young talent.

Apparently the Red Sox are in on him too.
Just anywhere except the Dodgers please.

Yankees tried hard for Freeman but have the clear impression at this point that he preferred not to come. Their fear: rival Red Sox could still land the superstar 1B

Sounds like he’s holding out for more than anyone is willing to give.

Just saw on MLBN that Olson hit more homers off left handers than any other LH hitter in MLB history last year. I think 22 and Bonds hit 21 in ‘02.

Blue Jays are "finalizing" a trade for Matt Chapman. Does that eliminate them from the Freeman sweepstakes?

This is just weird. And now the Red Sox are looking into trading for Hosmer? Who does that leave, the Dodgers and the Rays? Can't imagine the Rays forking up that much money. He may have severely overplayed his hand with this. Dodgers may get him cheap. Of course, with me saying that, it'll probably be announced today that he's signing a 6/$200 million deal.
ETA: if the Sox trade for Hosmer, I guess that opens up the doors for the Padres to make a move for him.

It sure seems like he's waited too long and cost himself some serious money by doing so. I could be wrong about that, but the silence on his end makes me question what he's waiting for.

You would think. They already have Vlad Jr.

I saw a spray chart for Olson's 2021 season on another site and it showed that if he had played his home games in Atlanta rather than Oakland, he would have hit 51 HRs last season.

And Braves have resigned Rosario.

2yr/18m? I'll take that. Now grab Soler and let's run it back
Posted on 3/16/22 at 11:13 am to Dawgfan247
Honestly I rather get some SP depth than Soler at this point. Not sure who is out there and how much we have to play with, maybe someone a tier or two above Smyly to eat innings and be there in case of injury
