Iggy fell behind all 3 hitters he faced, gave up a leadoff hit and another barrel. And needed gold glove plays from his infield to get all three outs against one of the worst offensive teams in the league.
If this was an isolated incident, it'd be easy to chalk it up as an aberration, but we've seen this shite for the better part of 2 months now.
He cannot be the guy we turn to in the 9th when shite matters. Hitters are seeing his pitchers with total ease right now.

Angels just robbed Bryson Stott of a 3 run HR in the 9th inning. Angels still lead Phillies 3-1, 2 out in top 9.

The concerns about Iggy are certainly justified, but overall the Rockies are 4th in the majors in OPS and avg. and 7th in runs scored. Certainly, their home field inflates those numbers. That said, on the road, 14th in OPS and 17th in average. The three he faced had an .870, .822 and a .756 OPS…not exactly slouches.
Calling them on of the worst offenses in the league is a bit of a stretch.
I am looking forward to Suarez getting back in the mix and would think he would get some 9th inning chances down the stretch.

I'm not a fan of the way he's been pitching, either, but that leadoff hit was pure luck, as were a boat load of Rockies hits tonight. Holmes' final line looks like crap, but he had good stuff, generated a bunch of weak to intermediate contact on the ground, and the balls just seemed to have a GPS finding holes. It was frustrating.
