I can't write them off yet. I think they'll be maybe the most active team in the league at the deadline.

Gaudin talking DH sweep and I am thinking he ought to be talking about if we can score a third run and if that will be enough to win this Game 1

welp so much for your DH sweep Gaudin! We might not score more than 2 runs total in both games. We won't score any for Sale

Good thing the Mets won't be matching up with us in the playoffs or we wouldn't stand a chance.

Yes it does. They had a few nice games after the ASB but have reverted back to the June version of themselves on this road trip.

It's homer or bust. They have no idea how to grind out ABs. It's why they always choke in the playoffs. They have no idea how to change their approach when the situation calls for it. Just a bunch of low IQ free swingers.

Terrible jump by Mateo but possibly the worst tag I've ever seen in baseball by Semien.

Riley is so fricking bad. He just sucks all around as a player now.

When it comes to cost/production, Riley has to be in consideration for the worst player in MLB this year.

It's one thing if you have a big contract that isn't on the field because of an injury. It's a whole other thing when you have a big contract that has been healthy for much of the season and is your worst bat in the lineup.

We're not at Chris Davis territory yet with Riley, but we're getting there quickly. It's more likely he goes that route than it is that he bounces back.

Its like you told me a few weeks back, and I am paraphrasing, you just have to keep writing his name down in the 7 hole and keep sending him out there.

Apparently, you feel just like the management does. They must think he is earning that big contract. They actually think they are justifying his big fat stupid contract by continuing to send him out there.

Everybody worries about the deals we need to make.....I got a wish. I wish we would pick up in any kind of deal anybody that would allow us to put in the lineup at 3B who hardly ever strikes out and a middle of the road OBP and let Austin earn the rest of that big salary sitting on his arse in the dugout. He could be the designated P who comes in when we are down by 8. I have had enough of the turd

There is no bouncing back with Riley. He is absolutely washed. He is killing this ball club and there are so many players that will be available that we can get dirt cheap that would improve our ballclub.

BUT. Nobody in the organization has the balls to just accept the fact the contract turned out to be a gigantic mistake and refuse to eat it and digest it. RILEY DOES NOT NEED TO BE PLAYING FOR THE BRAVES ANYMORE. RUN HIM OFF EAT THE MONEY SO frickING WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since coming up in 2019, he always showed to have a bad habit of chasing out of the zone, particularly the breaking balls down and away. But there was a point in each season from 2019-2023 where he had a significant stretch as the most potent hitter on the team and would come through in clutch situations (2019 at Giants, 2020 NLDS vs Dodgers, 2021 NLDS vs Dodgers are top of mind).

But from the second half of 2023 on, I can't imagine he has an OPS over .750 which is a long arse time for your biggest contract to be an average/below-average hitter.

At this point, just play Dubon at 3B and Jarvis at SS
