Braves with 2 of the 6 most likely players in baseball to swing away with a 3 ball count.

Don't get me wrong, I don't expect Markakis to be a super star.

Not far fetched to see him have an allstar type year... He hovered around 300 for awhile last year. You never know. A lot of experts here act like they have a crystal ball. They might be right. Then again...

It's always gonna be tough for FF to make the All-Star team with the NL depth at 1B

It is actually very far fetched for Markakis to be an all star.

Cause the OF position in the NL is so thin? Freddie is at least a top 5 1B in the NL when healthy, Nick isn't even in the top 30 offensively.

Julio, Freddie, and Viz are our only realistic options for all-star unless a young pitcher busts out. Nick would have to go back in time and reproduce 2008 type numbers to have a shot.

Is anyone making it down to the Disney World Wide of Sports Complex for some game this spring? I am thinking of trying to get down there one weekend.

I went for a weekend last year for the first time ever. I felt it was an extremely overrated and overpriced experience. It's much cheaper to catch a weekend series in Atlanta.

TB @ATL
WAS @HOU
TOR @NYY
and can't remember the last game we're going to that week

I vacation down here for all of spring training, I try not to miss a game with the exception of split squad games. Hit me up, we'll grab a beer.

A couple of notes:
quote:

The #Braves have purposely paired some lockers: Bourn/Mallex Smith, Swanson/Albies and Newcomb/Blair

Jonah Keri ranked us 29th in his preseason rankings.
quote:

ATLANTA BRAVES
Recently traded starter Shelby Miller is a very good young pitcher, but goodness, did the Braves ever load up on young talent by trading Miller to Arizona. Dansby Swanson was the No. 1 pick in the 2015 draft and has a chance to become an All-Star shortstop. Triple A righthander Aaron Blair was the second-best prospect in the Diamondbacks’ system behind Swanson. Then there’s 25-year-old Ender Inciarte, whose outfield defense was so good last season that he was more valuable than Miller, according to Baseball-Reference’s WAR. None of those players will prevent the Braves from being really bad this year. But if you’re trying to build a perennial contender, that kind of deal is a fantastic way to start.

Dansby Swanson: "Being down here and being able to officially wear a Braves uniform is pretty sweet" #Braves

Dansby, Jace, Hector O, and Rio all reported early.
