I'd be really excited about this if it were 2008.

Mike Minor likely to be non-tendered.

Minor and Pedro Ciriaco non-tendered.
Frees up 2 spots on the 40 man, I think one being taken by Beckham. I think that puts us at 38, but I'm not positive.

There are currently 37 players on #Braves 40-man roster.

Does that include Beckham? I haven't seen him added anywhere yet.

I want whoever 31 wants.

If the draft were tomorrow, I believe Rutherford would be the pic. Puk and Groome going 1 and 2. I like Benson but as of now he needs some helium to be considered at 3.

Bridges alluded to the Braves liking Pint in an interview this week.

NO MORE ARMS DAMMIT!
This is what Callis and Mayo predicted. I'd be very happy with either here.

3. Braves
Callis: Corey Ray, OF, Louisville. Rebuilding Atlanta has loaded up on young pitching in the past year and desperately needs some position players. Ray is the best one in the 2016 Draft and should advance quickly.
Mayo: Blake Rutherford, OF, Chaminade College Prep (Canoga Park, Calif.). The best all-around tool package from the high school set, Rutherford is the one prep bat who has the chance to jump to the top of the first round.

Rutherford please. We need a power bat in the farm system.

I am sure we will target Alex Speas at some point.
Posted on 12/3/15 at 3:47 pm to lsu31always
I would fap to that as long as we got a top bat first. Not sure he will still be around when we pick again.
Posted on 12/3/15 at 3:51 pm to RollDatRoll
Speas isn't in consideration for number 3 unless he addes 5 MPH. But in all honesty, he fits the perfect profile of a Braves draft pick. Tall pitcher, from Georgia, High School.

Yeah, I wasn't saying I'd take him at 3. I'd love him with our 2nd pick though. Just saying that I doubt he is there when we pick in the 2nd.
Rutherford then Speas would be real nice.

Meh, we have that comp balence pick. Don't think it's too far fetched at the moment that we are able to grab him there.
