pretty sure that title belongs to Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College.

Billy won't be coming back, but you'll be needing a coach when Kelly retires due to mental health issues.

But I think UL would take him back, don't you? I know I preferred what the team looked like under Ole Billy than under Desormeaux.

It’s a financial issue. Des got an extension last year for having 1 winning season (out of 4) . Now he has a buyout that wouldn’t allow that move to take place

You guys need to amp up your fundraising. Your athletic department ran a big deficit on top of the draw it takes from the University. Athletic deficits are common among universities and I’m sure that there are plenty other deficit departments. But that athletics deficit will be red meat. Be prepared.

Every FBS public university in the state ran a deficit last season.

The problem within the university is the former president increased university employees and decreased undergraduate student population by nearly 2000 students.

Same, but at times his coaching style drove me crazy. Too close to the brink of disaster. His last year was awesome though. IMO i belive he could have built something that lasted if he would have stayed.

If he came back for free, sure! But I'd let Desormeaux's tenure run it's natural course first. I think he's got 2 years left. We'll see.

Yep. Honestly, those head-scratching play calls are what cost him his job. Takes unwarranted risks in one series, then gets inexplicably conservative the next.

Sometimes his personnel decisions had me wondering if he got his playsheets mixed up.

Once the entire university staff turns over we will have a new AD and HC.
