Phil's heel turn has been sad. What a demise in the world of golf

Correct, not gonna have the birdie opportunities that Quail has like on 7, 8, 14, 15.

17 at Oakmont is the one short par 4 which is still a difficult hole. Rest of the course under US Open conditions is just a brute.

Gonna drive over on Friday of the US Open. I went to Oakmont the last time it was brutal.

Phil hasn't had a heel turn. The media turned on him. If you actually listen to him speak for himself, it's pretty obvious.

Kinda the opposite but you are slightly on track

Phil was always an arse that the players kinda didn’t like, while Tiger was nice and a player they all loved

The media just decided to run with the fake news opposite storyline for years. One social media and everything got big to where the media couldn’t hide it it all kinda just was out there in the open about Phil and Tiger and how the players really felt about both of them

So the media didn’t turn on Phil, they just can’t cover for him anymore

Since about 2015. Early 2000s he was not friendly at all. I know that’s well before you watched golf so I wouldn’t expect you to know that.

I suppose know you’ll pull out the couple of guys he was friends with like mark o’meara, but that was the exception not the rule

Someone polled players in the early 2000’s, and Phil was universally the least liked player and some Tour players said his good guy persona was just for the fans. Most of the guys liked Tiger just fine.

Saw Phil absolutely chew out a kid at the 2011 PGA in Atlanta. Everyone sort of stood there in shock. Kind of thing that would’ve gone viral is few years later when everyone had their phone out.

I mean, I'd assume most of these guys are entitled little shits. 99% of them have been spoonfed and catered to by their parents and everyone else since they've been 5. But, Phil actually seems like a normal person the last year or so based on videos I've seen of him.

And that "a-hole" has done a lot to help the current group of PGA professionals, even while everyone is shitting all over him. The PGA has made significant changes that benefit the players due to Phil.

At least Phil has seemed to take a stand for something and stick with it. Unlike Rory who is just a little bitch who is against or for Saudi money, depending on what he thinks people want to hear.

Scottie’s dad told him thanks for never giving up

He’s been an elite level golfer since he was like 10 and grew up playing at Royal Oaks that costs like 100 g’s to join (if they let you in)

Scottie joining Seve Ballesteros as the only other golfer to win his first three majors by 3 or more is huge. No one knows what the future holds but I could see Scottie winning another major this year.
