It's been that way since he turned pro. Winning 19 majors. Every thing else was gravy.
Personally, I don't think he does it. Swing changes, equipment changes, deeper fields, and the fear factor is gone.

It's pretty simple. He's not the player he was 10 years ago for a multitude of reasons and the rest of the field knows it.
