If you thought the Memorial was something, the ball is about to bounce off the greens like the old Superball commercials.

The only thing the PGA had going for it was being the final major of the year and they destroyed that to push the fedex cup which nobody really cares about

Wyndham is a classic "pull the ladder up once I've made it" insufferable douche, so I'm not defending him here, but how do you play iron shots into turtleback greens that aren't receptive and roll like glass?

I like the tradition of US Open being the most difficult event, but are we conflating difficult and impossible?

There is certainly an area on those greens where if you land it there it will stop. Probably on the front of the green. The turtleback shape kinda dictates that

I assume if the greens become unplayable they will water them like they had to do at shinnecock a few years back

Maybe I’m thinking about it wrong but, to me, the turtleback greens mean that if you land it on the front of the green the ball is assuredly going to roll off the front.

No, people are just being hyperbolic as usual.

Not when you account for the forward momentum of the ball.

The USGA ruined LACC so the least they can do is have a real US Open this time around.

No surprise to see Wyndham complaining. Becoming a weekly ocurrance.

nearly every year someone is whining about how hard the course is. Nearly every year it is some whiney doucher like Zach Johnson or Clark

Perfectly describes him. Total head case that got it together for about 6 months, and acts like he’s been elite for a decade. And now looks to be back to being a head case. I swear he upstages himself on saying dumb shite every time he shows up.

I genuinely enjoy seeing him MC.
