You see 130 yard par 3 in a US Open, you better just aim for the middle of the green. It’s a fricking trap anywhere else.

Absolutely, you know if you miss the green your arse is dead.

The hole is playing at 3.019. Amazing a hole that short is over par. Again, it’s a trap.

Matsuyama shot two over today and moved up four spots on the leaderboard from where he started.

Joel fricked up so bad wearing the standard hat. If it was a sponsor decision, he better be kicking a rep in the balls after the round

Only four players have shot under par today. Three 69s, one 68.

Zalatoris and Scheffler are the only two players on the course currently under par for their round.

Zalotoris is looking at a 67.

I think that’s the first time I’ve seen Scottie’s footwork in slow mo. That has to be tearing up his ankles. He’s young and limber now, but when he hits his 30+ years, he’s going to have to make some changes.

ETA: and now it appears he has the chipping yips

Dahmen switched hats at the beginning of the round due to the wind.

They showed highlights of his caddy jumping down a cliff in Hawaii to retrieve the floppy hat when a gust blew it off during a round.

It's been bugging me all day. I know Jon Wood used to be a caddie but I can't remember whose bag he was on.

When he started bogey, par, double, that pretty much put him on the good or terrible shots only coverage track. Keep in mind, NBC only shows 15 minutes of live golf per hour.

Why do people in the gallery always run like little kids to the errantly struck ball? Do they think they’re going to get to keep it?

To get a chance to be right next to the player hitting their next shot.
