Huggy is in his mid 60s and has had serious health concerns. He wouldn't leave WVU anyway, but he's only going to coach another 2-3 years max.

For a June hire, Chris Holtmann is solid.

I love when these supposed "big time" jobs open up, and fans start proclaiming all these great coaches are coming then they end up hiring a lesser name coach. When will these fans learn? This isn't a bad hire. Holtmann is a pretty good coach.

Ohio State is an interesting position for a head coach.
On one hand, the program has a good tradition, the financials are available, the conference is top-notch, and there is a wealth of in-state talent. However, basketball will always play second-fiddle to football, The Schott has a pretty lousy atmosphere, the practice facility is pretty bland, and the state has been getting raided for a few years now.
That being said, I agree that Chris Holtmann is a pretty good coach. He ran a lot of three-guard lineups at Butler, so it will be interesting to see what happens in Columbus.

Holtmann was right at the top of the "realistic hires" list probably with Mack. I really like this move considering the timing. Would have preferred Archie Miller back in March.

Holtmann is a top 3 coach imo. Love the way they play. Awesome hire
