to "pursue other interests." Just under the 7-month period of going through the huge battle to get the club. What in the frick is going on?

But... we still have Nolan.

Rangertards... Unite!

105.3 morning douches were speculating battle of egos....greenberg was too public for a behind the scenes type.

"Too public?" I can think of an owner in the big city who's too public, but I for one liked Greenberg.

At the end of the day, this won't affect the on-field performance, especially since they just re-signed Daniels. Just kinda puzzling.

I saw nothing wrong with Greenberg's role...was paraphrasing douche djs. I would guess the split is over baseball philosophy or
something.

Yeah I know. I was just posing the question.

Just seems strange overall.

From what I saw, he nixed a trade involving Mike Young, demanding that he give up about $10 million in deferred money owed to him. According to what I've read, this is against the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

He's also supposedly butted heads with Nolan on some issues.

But as an owner and a lawyer, shouldn't you know the provisions of the CBA?

Here's where my info is from

I think this was a planned move and he was just there to make sure the deal went through.

Great site... thanks for the link.

But like it said, I doubt we'll ever fully know what happened.

Yeah..probably so.

The team needs to just get on the field and play ball. There has been nothing really positive about this offseason outside of the Beltre signing.

I have a very weird feeling about this season..

yep. and like I said earlier, this in no way affects anything on the diamond itself.

me too. I have this sense of foreboding that it could just be a huge flop.

nothing more than the auction crap going on last year hopefully. It is about what is on the field and let's hope it stays the course!

Hopefully, Chuck goes quietky since he is going.
Didn't have a problem with him, but apparently Nolan and Daniels did.

The ticket said he had a falling out with Nolan over the Michael Young deals. Don't get in a power struggle, or any kind of struggle for that matter, with Nolan Ryan.
