they can win the big 12. the big 12 is no joke. put another way:

quote:

"It's Division I football! It's the Big 12! It ain't intramurals! You've got two weeks after finals. You've got a week at July 4th. You've got a week before camp starts. That's a month! That's probably more vacation than you guys (reporters) get. And we're a little bummed out that we don't get three weeks? Go play intramurals, brother. Go play intramurals."

Why does this shite get brought up? Who cares if we are back or not? The point is we are ranked 7 in the nation. We are 6-1. Who cares about outside noise. Just win.

Mind boggling they dropped the opener to Maryland, they have improved tremendously from then

How long is Ehlinger suppose to be out for?

The rant shouldn't be worried about what Herman is doing at Texas until they're on our schedule next year. Herman hasn't done anything thus far at Texas that exceeds what Orgeron has done at LSU, and LSU got Orgeron for half the price of Herman. And honestly, until Texas wins something of significance with Herman, people should pump the brakes with him. LSU fans should know all too well that no one wins anything in October.

I agree very early.

Say he wins the Big12 this year.

Would you call that significant?

absolutely. But let's say LSU finishes the regular season 10-2 and wins their bowl game (possibly the Sugar Bowl) for an 11 win season. I think I'd call it a push. Would that be fair?

Very strange victory lap to take considering where LSU is and what the people on the opposite side of the argument were saying about O.

Well LSU as a program was in much better shape that Orgeron started with than Texas was for Herman. Pretty silly to compare them straight up like that at this point.

Texas has 3 wins by less than a TD against very bad teams. Tulsa, k state, and Baylor just recently. They lost to Maryland team that was without a head coach. They almost blew a 21 point lead to a very overrated OU team who almost lost to Army in Norman during overtime.

Texas is not back. Not even close- and the fact they are ranked #7 really is pretty pathetic.

Well that seems like what some LSU fans want to do playing the what if game. To this point, Orgeron has exceeded all expectations coming into this season and has LSU in a position no one though he could get them to. LSU fans should just be happy about where we are right now and stop dwelling on a coaching search from 2 years ago.
