Texans Talk

Listening to 610 while at work. They were discussing the possibility of a straight up Ben Tate for Mike Wallace trade. What say you? Pitt needs RB and no secret we need WR help to go along with the fact that Wallace isn't very happy in Pitt. I would say 100% yes. However, what if Arian goes down? Also, it was said that Tate may be a better RB than Wallace is WR. May be true, but you have to see where your team needs are.
Either way, I couldn't be more excited for this season!

He is no where near as good and the steelers would be stupid to trade Wallace for Tate straight up

Pitt will not accept their #1 WR for the Texans #2 RB. Just would not go through.

Player for player trades in the NFL are rare. Also the Texans do not have a lot of cap room and need to resign some key players next year like Brown, Schaub and it think Barwin.

Wallace has speed matched by maybe 2 other guys in the NFL. They're not trading him for a backup.

610 is a damn fine sports station. A couple of guys who work/produce there hang at Jakes. Good peeps. Texans look damn good this year... oh wait breaking news Foster pulls his groin..injured again.

Do I need to a link to state the obvious? It would be a great deal for hte Texans, but Pitt would look at it like and need to get more.

If this trade were to happen, the Steelers would get A LOT more than just Ben Tate.
But, damn Wallace would work well in H-town

Yes, Tate is a backup RB...only because he is backing-up the best back in the league! He's proved that he is/will be a great back racking up 950 yds last year as a back up. And I agree that this deal straight up wouldn't happen, but only because he is a backup RB. Not because of what he is or isn't capable of doing.

I love Tate and I think he'd start for a large majority of NFL teams, but I still think it would take Tate plus a pick to get Wallace, and as was said before player for player trades are rare. I would be fine with a trade of something like Tate + a #2 for Wallace though.

JJ Watt injures elbow in practicet this morning. Should be out until 1st regular season game. First Andre, then Brown, now Watt
Got to stay healthy!! All of the above mentioned will be good to go by 1st regular season game.
