I lived in Zachary and played baseball there for a while. There probably isn't a trashier or more classless fan base out there. They are awful.

The amount of asshurt there if you live in Zachary and don't go to school there is unreal. You'd be amazed by how many comments my parents got along the lines of "Are your kids to good for our public school"

Not sure wtf you guys are talking about. I'm sure i am biased bc I was born and raised and still live there. I don't hear much about private/public. I know if I had the money and could get my kid in, I would send my kid to CHS- BR over ZHS in a heart beat.

I couldn't give two shits about Zachary beating Catholic. I couldn't even tell you the last time they played. I'm just stating the facts, and the fact is, ZHS baseball is extremely classless and it doesn't surprise me they would start a brawl.

I was told by someone at the game, "tuerlings runner was thrown out by ten feet on a steal and slid straight into the Zachary 2nd basemans knees spikes up. Tuerlings threw the first punch, brawl followed

This thread is hilarious. When I was in high school three years ago, I was playing left and they got those bleachers out there and they pull up trucks. The Zachary fans were talking some pretty funny trash talk, and I appreciated their efforts of keeping left field interesting. I remembered I had my booksack in the dugout and I had all kinds of candy, so I took a handful and when they started up again I threw em some gobbstoppers and m&m's. They loved that shite. CSB

I was told the same thing. I heard that Teurlings was mad b/c of some previous arse whiping this year. But msutiger heard someone make fun of him for going to a private school so Zachary obviously started it. Lot of hate going on in this thread.

We've played both...(Zachary more than Teurlings) and Zachary is BY FAR one of the cockiest bunch of coaches and kids in La HS Baseball (we went 1-1 vs. them last year..so, I'm not "mad")
The coaches encourage it.....and this is from a former players mouth.

lsusteve, my old LP friend. It's been a while. 
In all seriousness, I am told this entire event was on Teurlings. Maybe they were mad b/c of Zachary beating them earlier in the year and talking shite, but that's not much of an excuse for spiking with metal cleats and starting a melee.

I don't know all of the information..so it definitely could have been started by TC.
Zachary did beat em March 3rd....so it's possible. But ZHS does have some "ego's" to say the least.....which is crazy because they don't have to be that way since they're damn good.
