Huh. I've said it before on here, but Alex was freakish to watch in person in terms of being able to move well at his size. He doesn't really seem to have different gears, though, and that shows he's a headcase. Maybe we have another lostgen on our hands.

You lost me on this correlation.

Dropped FAA
Added Delpo
Still have Alex. I'm not gonna drop him to the waiver wire. Will offer him as trade bait, though.

Crap grammar. On the second part, I was referring to your quote above. "He doesn't really seem to have different gears/variety. And your quote above demonstrates that he's a headcase."

That makes more sense than the first way you had it.
Not sure I completely agree that those quotes show he's a headcase. All kinds of players go through slumps. An alternative theory -- and I'm just spitballing here -- is that maybe the rest of the tour has zero'd in on some weaknesses he has, or just figured out a way to play him that minimizes his strengths.
Again, just thinking out loud.
Maybe he just needs a slumpbuster.

I'm thinking about offering Alex and Kei for Djokovic.
Would I be wise to make this offer?
I'm thinking I can pick FAA back up off waivers and be good to go.

Of course YOU would be wise, but I doubt your buddy goes for it.

admit it, yall sorta agree that my fantasy tennis league sounds awesome, right?
Maybe. Depends on the cost and payout structure. You guys looking to get beaten, I mean, expand?

Maybe. We had 6 last year, which was probably one too many. But two guys dropped so we are doing 4 this year, which is probably one too few. We're already locked in for the year, but I'll keep you in the loop for next season.
You would of course already know this, but there is a ton of luck involved. In one of those "Novak years", the guy who wins is just the guy who got the first pick. And then even in a regular year like so far, I 100% thought my team was the best after our draft, and wouldn't have traded teams with anybody else, but then Delpo stays out and Alex struggles, and I'm in third. So, it isn't all skill (though it's some skill).

It's just friendly money. Since we only have 4, we are doing winner take all. I think it's a $150 per team. It isn't an economic decision for sure.

I offered. No response. Sad face.

Rafa dropped a set to leo mayer. Didn't expect that.

Real nice win for Mackey.
Nice showing from FAA.
Seriously, Lucas? Like, for real?
Daniil is showing he has some clay court chops.
The guido has some dirty chops as well. Not seeming like SwaggyK has figured out that portion.
Gizmo's boy BennyP has taken the court.

Sandgren playing live and free at Tallahasee challenger at https://www.atptour.com/en/atp-challenger-tour. Playing #374 Stephen Kozlov who happens to have won all 5 of the matches they have played against each other.

Just looked up Kozlov's career earnings out of curiosity.
$375,231 according to Wikipedia.
It's more than I thought, but still not much for 6 years of tennis, even with most of his time spent in America. After expenses, I can't imagine he's making anything. I wonder how long he'll stick it out considering he'll probably never be a regular on the ATP tour.

That is what i find so interesting about the 100-150 range in the rankings. At 150, which Kozlov got up to at some point, you are earning $50k/yr and barely getting by. At 100ish, you are direct draw into the majors and earning 400 or so (assuming you are winning enough to maintain that ranking).
Or looks at Sandgren, last year he had entries into every 250 and up leading up to the French that he wanted. After getting bounced out if the too 100 he's having to play challengers over here hoping he can get into the French without having to do qualifying.
With all that being said, points are hard to find at 150, and with all of the competition, making that jump up into the top 100 is crazy hard.

Same price as last week with an easier draw.
But is he right physically? He was down 2 breaks to Pella, got crushed by Fabio, and dropped a set to Leo Mayer, all in the span of a week.
