Fed, Rafa, and Djoker will all be on court 1 today. Imagine having those tickets. Seeing all 3 GOATS on the same day on the same court with one ticket.

no I'm not going this year

Fed/Stan is technically night session but yeah that Novak rainout made a lot of people happy I’m sure.
You know it’s a loaded day when Osaka is on Stadium 2, Cilic/Shapo are on 3, and Svitolina/Barty on 4.

Bold or maybe not so bold prediction: Felix Auger-Aliassime will end the season ranked in the top 20 this year.
You better be cautious with your trumpeting of promising young players or bayou will issue you a yellow card.

sounds reasonable. if he puts on about 15 lbs of muscle continues to develop his game (kind of a given) the sky's the limit
I don't think he needs to add weight in the way that Alex needed to two years ago. He's lean in a 1990 Sampras sort of way; no need to buy protein in bulk and start doing 1-set max's on the reg, imho.
Can't of course disagree with the second part. I haven't watched enough of him to point out specific areas where he needs to improve, but most players his age are still figuring out which of their tools they need to utilize in given situations. And just point construction generally.
Anyway, regarding your bold (or not so bold) prediction: I'll take the over on 20. He'll be in that ballpark, though. I"ll say 20s.

Paid $65 for these seats

He should have been DQ'd.
Rafa has such good manners, no?
How late was he?
Is that why he beat spectrum-boy so quickly? To avoid throwing the listed start times all out of whack?

Nice. That's cheaper than citi open tickets.
Which I don't buy; instead opting for the "buy the cheapest ticket then sneak into luxury box" strategy.*
*I'm actually being serious. I've done this two years in a row. The catering this year was excellent.

Awesome. I hope you yell at Shapo for being a mindless ballbasher. I must say, further to what you guys pointed out -- I got a little sad watching Stevie trying to outfox Shapo with all his might, and the kid just out-talented him in the end.
I had never really watched Medvedev until the other day. He has some really weird strokes, especially on the backhand. It's like every backswing is super late. Carillo and Annacone said he hits the ball like a slingshot.

I’ve done the “sneak into day session with night session tickets” here, which I highly recommend, but it can be tricky.
What’s even crazier about the $65 seats is that it works as a ground pass, so $15 extra basically.

Almost did a “fade the faster hardcourt players” Krajinovic/Hurkacz/Stan parlay with a massive payout but I pussied out.

I’ve kinda lost the urge to hate on him for that. Kvitova plays the same way. Just the nature of the sport. It would be like hating Giannis for his athleticism.

so much for Cilic being ready to 'compete with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic' which he recently claimed

Bayou,
You catch any of Shapov? Looks like he basically routined Cilic.

They're definitely unorthodox. And he hits a really flat ball. I can recall Courier making some rather disparaging remarks last year. Courier playing the role of groundstroke form snob is a rather ironic turn of events, I would humbly submit. Like,I still have no goddamn clue what that guy was doing on his backhand.
Whatevs. Groundstroke form is a bit overrated. Shooting form in basketball too. My groundstrokes are goddamn gorgeous...and so how come I'm not any good at tennis?

Yeah he’s consistently serving in the high 120’s and placing it well. I don’t remember it being quite that hard before, but I could be wrong. Combine that with being lefty and it’s like cheating. Cilic only had 2 break chances.
Someone on Twitter mentioned he was playing with more patience vs. Stevie, which I didn’t believe. He has cut down the errors though. A little scary.

Funny you bring that up. Courier was making fun of his backhand the other day, I think in the context of Medvedev's shots.
