Tebow will get better.

Denver should continue to build around defense and let Tebow keep working. He is a winner and will get better.

Doubtful. He is still mechanically flawed and at some point the hits he is taking will pile up and cause injury. Then where will Denver be? Try running that offense with anyone else.

The problem is, I think he has hit his ceiling as far as developement. I don't think there is anyway that he will fix that throwing motion. He was able to get away with it in college, because of superior talent around him. I would love to see him get better, I just don't think mechanically he will be able to get rid of it. He's thrown thousands upon thousands of passes with that cranky motion. Muscle memory is a bitch.

I think a valid point has been made in this thread... if you're the Broncos, and you commit to Tebow 100% as a spread option quarterback, who is his backup?

I mean... I know where you're going with this, but these guys are both pass-first guys. They can run some when a play breaks down, but neither of those guys are built for 10+ rush attempts per game over the course of an NFL season. Tebow is a runningback.

Along the same lines, say you're the Broncos and you've decided you're going with Tebow. What positions do you target in the draft? More WRs? Better TEs? What makes Tebow better?

I think Tebow could be a good filler at QB for the next 3-4 of years.
One aspect of Tebow that is vastly underrated is his ability to market the Broncos. I know football is about winning but what about giving the fans a show, as far as the theater of football goes his ability to bring in the crowd is unmatched at the moment.
Take a look at the division and really you just need to be better than KC, SD, and Oakland. If Denver continues to build around that Defense and running game then Tebow will only need to develop as a game manager. He isn't going to develop into a true pocket passer but with the right game plan he could develop into a guy who is taught to simply take what the defense gives you and most importantly don't turn the ball over.
This would also give Denver time to acquire a QB and begin the process of developing him properly and not just throwing them into the fire. Also as much as i hate to suggest it Tebow could be a great guy for a two QB system. Tebow as the runner/game manager and a second to serve as the "pro style" offense. Would be interesting to see?
---
As far as the draft goes they should go BPA, they look like a team that could be on the way up and need to grab talent for the future. However on need i think Denver could use a good TE more than anything. Give Tebow a big target with good hands that he can look for. Also a good TE would put additional strain on line backers and safeties that are already focusing on the running game.

Continue to improve defense, special teams, and the running game. Hopefully, their anamoly of a season will continue, but that is incredibly unlikely.
I wish the Cardinals got some attention for their season. I think Skelton was like 7-1 this year and they won four overtime games and I think a few others in the last minute. Despite their incredible luck and fortune, they were pretty shitty IMO. They were the worst team I saw the Vikings play all year.

Well damn bra.....you have him all figured after just his 1st true season to start. Why aren't you on Sportscenter? How soon peeps forget the Steelers game....Tebow performed great against one of the best defenses in league. The problem is consistency... The Bronco's have a lot to look forward to though!....this season wasn't supposed to be near as good. That defeat wasn't all Tebow....It's kinda hard to win when tour D gives up 5 freakin TD's in 1st half!!

Yep. Lebeau is too much of a hardass and had to blitz. Tebow played tremendous, but the Steelers played to his strengths.
Unless Tebow develops as a passer, it will get ugly. Fox altered his whole offense to create this spread and zone read scheme that threw defenses for a curveball. It was kind of like the wildcat on steroids. A great short term possiblity, but it is not a sustainable model.

Good point!.....but I hope it's not short term! Please forgive me for saying this but besides the Saints, Pro ball bores the shite out of me! I'm hoping that Tebow can develop more as a passer but I want Tebow to help change the way they usually play ball ( in a traditional sense)!

FWIW
Tebow in his last four games including postseason
Completion Percentage: 38.57%
So much for getting better as the season progressed. Everyone will talk about his one performance against Pittsburgh, but you can't forget his performance in every other game this season

Tebow is good for the league.
I dont care if he in at QB or FB or whatever. Keep him in the league.

Tebow has no weapons on offense.
This is a point that is not mentioned enough. Eric Decker would likely be a 4th or 5th WR on the Saints. That's tebow's #1 target.

He's great for the league, but if he gets moved to FB/HB/TE it's not the same as him being the signal caller.
He needs to play a different position though to have long term success in my opinion

Where would Decker be on the depth chart on the saints? just wondering.

Calvin Johnson wouldn't catch half the balls that come out of Tebow's hands.
The same case can be made about the few times he had success. The Broncos run game opened up the pass. There's no hiding the fact that Pittsburgh brought a safety into the box for that TD in OT.
