I was trying to remember the specifics about forward passes, receivers, and how the WB lines up. None of the gifs y’all have posted would disprove anything I said, but I was still wrong.

The rule is about whether a QB is an eligible receiver. A forward pass can only be thrown to a QB if he’s lined up in the shotgun. At least that’s the NFL rule. Obviously none of it applied here, but it had me confused.

I agree. Throw them out or make it known they are subjective

It’s a player saftey rule. Neither player showed any sign of injury not was the hit anything to OOOOHHH AHHHH about.

Certainly would have felt wrong to extend a possible game winning drive for a penalty that had no bearing on the outcome of the play.

Agreed?
