So the coaches abandoned the hype maching this year?

nope. look at their ranking

Why were so many coaches voting them #1 last year and none this year?

Because the unbiased computer's say Boise's schedule is better.

the computers often use a shitty system for ranking quality opponents. they count a non-BCS win equal to a BCS win, often

if boise loses here, do we get to stop hearing about them for a while? it'd be 2 straight years of choking to teams they were supposed to beat by 30490 pts

Boise doesn't have the depth. Still, there is no doubt in my mind they are better than Auburn, by ...well, a lot.

Without their cornerbacks, that's a fair assessment.

I would give them an extra db and they would still give up 500 yds.

Boise has a good offense and is a good team, but they are not in the same league as (LSU, Bama, Ok. St.) I do think they are good, but I also think if you put them in the SEC, Pac-12, Big 10, or Big 12 they have at least 2 losses. They simply don't know the pains of playing tough opponents week in and week out.

They do exactly what they should though. There is nothing they can do about who is in their conference. They keep winning and should be top 10, but they should not get a shot at National title unless everyone has one loss/ and bama gets another loss.

No way Boise survives this game without some fall off win or lose. And if I am not mistaken, this is the game that the conference screwed TCU out of. This game was supposed to be a home game for TCU and since they announced they were moving, the conference rescheduled it to be a home game for Boise.

Could be a million points between them and Houston in a couple weeks. Both will be playing to see which one loses to Southern Miss in the C-USA Title Game.
