What a wonderful game thread full of real basketball talk. Something is absent from this thread vs the others, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

It’s missing five pages of y’all talking about the refs.

Keep melting. OKC fans just as soft as their team.

I’m sorry we hurt your feelings, Pelicans fan. My melt won’t come close to y’all’s bitchfest after we win playoff games.

Literally MSB every time we win a game

I’ll never for the life of me understand “homecourt advantage” in the NBA. Just doesn’t seem like it should be a thing.

Google

Home court advantage exists in the NBA playoffs due to a combination of physiological comfort, crowd psychology, referee bias, and environmental factors.
Historically, home teams win around (60\% of playoff games, making it the most significant home advantage in major American sports.

Routine and Comfort: Players perform better when they can sleep in their own beds, maintain consistent daily diets, and avoid the fatigue of commercial travel across time zones.

Crowd Influence: Hostile environments can trigger subconscious cognitive bias in officials. Referees are more likely to make 50/50, subjective calls (like charging vs. blocking fouls) in favor of the home team to appease a loud, passionate crowd.

Environmental Factors: Players are highly accustomed to their arena's specific lighting, background noise, and even court dimensions or basket stiffness. Visiting players often struggle with depth perception in unfamiliar arenas.

OKC gotta fix the slow starts, feels like we’re in a hole early in every game. We’ve been here before though. Nuggets and Pacers both went to 7 last year and we were able to close out at home convincingly.

I’d swap Caruso with Dort in the starting lineup, Dort has been totally nonexistent in this series but keeps starting. Reminds me of what Dag did with Giddey a couple years ago. He’s clearly not the best option but they keep trying to force it.

Ever notice OU Guy never shows up after losses? But posts relentless spam after wins?

Spurs are better and Shai being the MVP is laughable. Getting exploited as the fraud he is. They may never taste a title again.

This is definitely the best defense he’s had to play against the past two years. Hasn’t been himself at all, shooting like 20% below his average. He likely knows this game 7 will be a legacy game, gotta show up.
