Is anyone surprised about this? They are sitting at 4-1 right now. Nobody is really even talking about them. They stunk it up against Eastern Washington to start the season and people have written them off since then.

Washington-30 Eastern Washington-27
Washington-40 Hawaii-32
Washington-38 Nebraska-51
Washington-31 California-23
Washington-31 Utah-14

The remaining schedule looks like this:
Colorado
@ Stanford
Arizona
Oregon
@ Southern Cal
@ Oregon State
Washington State

They should win at least 3 of those (CU, Oregon State, and Washington State). Any chance they could pull the upset on Stanford or Oregon?

Their resume isn't really that impressive.

I don't know, it's more impressive than Virginia Tech, Baylor, and Illinois in my opinion.

Eh...possibly. Even then though line Washington up with those teams mentioned. Do they win?

VT - Loss
Illinois - Probably a loss
Baylor - Probably a loss

Keith Price reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson, and Chris Polk might be the most underrated player in college football.

Colorado - W
@ Stanford - L
Arizona - W
Oregon - Toss
@ Southern Cal - W
@ Oregon State - W
Washington State - W

Every husky fan I know is and won't shup up about it. Nebraska looks to be overrated and they whooped em. Utah doesn't seem to be ready for the big boy schedule either. Win some more and they'll be ranked.

Baylor would be a shoot out, and they might lose. But VT and Illinois are wins.

Oregon will smash them.

They'll be a team that gets solidly beat by superior teams but beats who they are supposed to.

Eh...VT has a huge edge on defense and I think they'd take it.

Illinois, IDK. I can't figure them out but I would lean loss. Slightly.

No. They might break the streak of losing to Oregon by 20 or more points. They might only lose by ten-19 this time.

should be enough for a 15-20 ranking at the end of the year

but they lost their all-everything qb, so they can't possibly be better this year than last year...

I think they could hang with both of those teams and can beat them.

I get the sarcasm

But this team has more talent than last years team had. Not to mention, they actually have a legit TE this year in ASF.

I wasn't high on Price coming into the year, but he has impressed me. And he's only a sophomore.

My Husky buddy says....frick Jake Locker....we got Teeth Price. I think the qb they have now has looked pretty good. He certainly has more of a team around him. The defense is the weaker part of the team and they give up points.

Damn that guy is gonna be good. They don't utilize him enough imo.

Idk

Va Tech didn't impress me at all on defense for playing at home in a matchup of two top 15 teams.

Tahj Boyd didn't have his best game and was still able to put up nice numbers against that defense.

Va Tech would be able to run on Washington, but I have seen nothing from Logan Thomas to convince me that he's even close to being a decent passer.

It would be close, but Washington would win. Just my opinion.

agreed. LOL at the coaches around the country who thought he was more of an offensive lineman.

agree here too. Big game (for a TE) against Hawaii.. 3 catches for 91 yards. Otherwise he's had 54 yards or less in every other game.

But with Polk in the backfield, Kearse and Williams along with Aguilar and Johnson at reciever, there's a lot of guys there that can do work.

VaTech is flat out terrible. Biggest fraud to date this CFB season. Why they are still ranked is beyond me. They haven't beaten a team with a pulse...at least UW beat Utah.

VaTech is this years poster-child for the laziness of poll voters and fans...if you get lucky enough to be voted in the preseason top 15, you really have to stink it up to eventually fall out.

I think he would have been good there too but I would rather play TE if it were me. That guy is gone in three years so enjoy him.

Oh I know I'm just a guy who loves the TE position and think they are very important to any game plan. Especially when they have the athleticism this guy has....how many linebackers aren't at a disadvantage when lined up against him?

VT hasn't beat an AQ school yet and is still ranked, thanks to them being overrated every preseason
