Too much priority is put on perfect weather conditions. Correct me if im wrong, but didnt it rain like a monsoon the last time the Superbowl was in Miami? Newsflash, football is played in bad weather.
First of all I wasn't saying the game should never be in the north. And yes it rained in Miami and it sucked and lots of people complained about it. Most people don't want the Super Bowl played in crappy weather no matter what you say.

All within walking distance
This the one aspect of a New Orleans super bowl that many other cities can't compete with. Your hotels and entertainment district are both within walking distance to almost all superbowl activities. People spent half their time in Miami this week driving from venue to venue.
Also northern cities don't get superbowls because the sponsors, celebrities, and corporations do not want to go to a cold weather city.
