Super Bowl Halftime Shows

Since this is the 100th anniversary of the NFL, I thought we might discuss the entertainment aspect of the championship game during halftime - namely...the Halftime Show. While big time performances from the day's hottest stars are relatively new for the NFL, I still thought they should be discussed. Namely...which one has been the best since the Halftime Show started in the 1990s?
I don't know about best overall, but my favorite moment so far has to be Prince singing Purple Rain in the rain.

I didn’t fully appreciate U2’s performance due to being livid and worried about the STL Rams spitting the bit, but it’s a close second to Prince.

Prince was the GOAT halftime show.
If I ran the NFL, they would get Metallica to do a 15-20 minutes greatest hits medley with pyro, lasers and hot chicks dancing in cages. Hell, throw some hot guys in there too - something for everyone! They already fricked up in not getting Motorhead to do this while Lemmy was still alive.
I'm kind of serious about this idea. Too bad they program these halftime shows for 35 year old women who shop at Target and not for football fans.
