It's beyond my comprehension why LSU fans make a big deal out of this. It's ridiculous.
I'm sure Ohio St makes such an enormous deal out of U of Ohio being the university of Ohio

Just because USL wants to be called that, doesn't mean that's what they're going to be called. Everyone knows they're UL-Lafayette, so just call them ULL and get on with it.

Actual LSU grads don't seem to give a shite. It's sidewalk or Southeastern/ULM/etc. fans that seem to give a shite.

That is some long arse travel for Idaho. At least Louisiana Tech doesn't have to travel to all those WAC schools anymore.

The university's name is the "University of Louisiana at Lafayette", or "UL-Lafayette" for short.

I know UL-Lafayette grads that don't call them "Louisiana" or UL-Lafayette" for that matter. They still call it USL because that is what it is to them and what it says on their degrees.

Western Kentucky is fine with Western Kentucky. That is their accepted (not official name) moniker. They prefer WKU when being abbreviated.
