I still stand by that statement. Besides maybe Hawaii I can’t think of a better place to be this week? Maybe San Diego?

It’s 58 and raining in Nashville today.

It’s in the best interest of the conference to send a team that has a shot to pull a tournament upset.

ULM lost out. ULL won their game.
And it’s 34 degrees in Chicago right now in regards to the poster who would prefer Chicago.

Where would you rather go than Pensacola? As a fan, I think it would be awesome. Go to your team’s game and then go visit the Island the rest of the time.
New York, Chicago, Vegas.
Yeah, well the MAC (comparable) is playing in fricking Cleveland, you rustbelt a-hole.

It also reduces the chances, such as they are, of getting a 2nd bid.

Money
Attendance is basically nothing and they have to pay to rent the building. I also cant imagine a sunbelt tournament gets much TV money.

Probably minimal. The early round games you have to watch online.

#10 seed Ga Southern has won 5 games in 5 days to make the final against Troy! Can they make it 6 in 6 days?

Georgia Southern has won 5 games to get to the final.
It would be insane IF they won against Troy tonight.

The 1 seed won. But it would have been cool if it was the 10.
The 1 seed is expected to get a 14 seed.

I watched the game.
GSU hung in for awhile, but Troy looked fresher.

I also realized at some point last week that both the mens and womens tournament were being held at the same location. Makes a little more sense there only being two games per day in each bracket.

For the Sun Belt, I think this is a great way to have the tournaments.
The regular season should really mean a lot and it did. A big tournament run like GSU should mean something as well.
Also having the men and women at Sam site may draw a little bigger crowd per game.

Yeah I was curious why there were only a couple of games, then I saw some posts on social media about Troy's upcoming games, men and women, and realized it was all in the same arena. Probably helps with travel arrangements as well for the schools.
