I agree.

But the missing element is Baylor beating KSU in the finale. I see it as the committee taking a wait and see approach. If KSU beats Baylor then TCU's loss to Baylor has less weight. When both team finish with same record and Baylor BEATING TCU head to head, you can't logically rank TCU ahead of Baylor, "just because you think they're better". Head to head has to matter.

That said, if it was BCS, Oregon gets left out which would be a bigger crime than leaving TCU out. Even in BCS rankings TCU would have been 5th.

But I also agree with a 6-8 team. Once you get to picking the 6th spot or 8th spot, no sympathy if you get left out.
