THANK YOU for presenting some facts rather than just retarded nostalgic opinions like most of these retards.

It's just clear that a lot of people on this board, not all but a lot, haven't actually watched a full NBA game in sometime and are just digesting social media clips to form their opinion. The Clay Travis school of grifting.

One solution, which would not be well received, is to eliminate the 3 point shot.

Players wouldn't be forced to have the range to guard an opponent all the way out to half court as it would no longer be beneficial for teams to take those long range shots with all baskets being worth 2.

Load management is definitely a problem that the league needs to legitimately address, but players bodies are breaking down with a lot of soft-tissue (hamstrings) and lower-body injuries (knee, achilles) because of how fast the game is played today.

None of this is true.

You need to google Kevin Garnett on load management.
He breaks down exactly why the current crop of NBAers can't play without getting hurt and need load management.

Essentially what he says is, when he came in the league (Jordan era), players practiced and played multiple hours every day. Then in the off season it was routine for them to be playing pickup games for 7-8 hours a day.
He then compares that to current players whose daily workout, even in the offseason, is 30 min/ hour long. No facilitated or immersive game simulations at all, and most of that isn't even with the team, it's with a private trainer.

He essentially calls them paper tigers. They look amazing in the weight room, but they are weak as kittens.

That's not a internet opinion. That's a HOFer who sees behind the scenes every day.

Also the speed of the game today is a weird flex. Jacking up a three when one of your own players isn't even across the half court line is common. I don't know how that makes your body breakdown.

By the way, if you look at the top ten scorers in the NBA in 1990 and look at how many minutes they played, they are all over 3000 minutes for the season, with many including Jordan way over that.

If you look at the top scorers in the NBA last year, the highest minutes played is 2700 or so. The people that played a whole season are all mostly in the 2200-2400 range. No one. None played 3000 minutes.

This is a better objective way of looking at this compared to how fast the game is. What you really are trying to say is players move faster and more. And we just don't know that.

what can be shown is that they used to play a shite ton more than they do now.

Also the players are such spoiled prima donnas these days. But they are also more talented and athletic.
