Again, you're letting the clothing of the time fool you.

What's even more impressive is that the other 155 golfers have all managed to win as many Finals MVPs as Steph.

You weren't an adult and likely didn't enjoy the game back then. Now that you you are both of those you enjoy it more. Is this where I'm supposed to be shocked?

Sure.

But I don't think that their boring, white guy personalities has much to do with the thread. I guess I'm confused where you're going with this.

Curry is so good at golf because he is so damn smooth and has such great feel. I don't think every elite athlete would translate well to golf, especially ones that don't have the body type for it. Lebron would be a terrible golfer.

I bet Odell Beckham could be really good. Patrick Peterson is really good. Its the fluid, shorter, less bulky athletes that would excel.

But in the end, golf is incredibly mental. Tiger was a great athlete and had maybe the best mental game ever at his peak. He's a very smart guy. That would be tough for some top athletes, if we're being honest.

I just want to get your argument straight

Are you now arguing there was no Tiger effect? Are you saying you disagree with the notion Tiger brought in a new more athletic wave of golfers that have changed the game and made it more exciting to millions of people?

Im not being a smartass I just think that is the road you are going down

I have already said my word of slob was incorrect to describe how golf was pre tiger

Of course I'm not saying that. But to pretend that young talent never came to the game pre Tiger is just retarded, as is the way you're trying to make this claim.

I agree

But I think being a freak athlete still helps

The Lebrons of the world wouldnt translate to golf

But the MLB shortstops, NFL DBs, NFL QBs, NBA 1's and 2's of the world should would make it interesting if they played golf from a young age

I say the same for tennis as well even as a tennis guy

To say golfing is basically a hobby for him as a full time NBA player, that's impressive.

Im not doing that

I am playing a numbers game

Tiger brought in a higher percentages of athletes to the game

This made golf more exciting by a pretty material amount

If all elite athletes started playing golf, I think you would see a similar push forward

That has been my point

I incorrectly used the word slob and you have jumped on it like a spider monkey and went balls deep like a tick and havent let go

When you stop and breath, I think you will notice my point hasnt been that outlandish

I fully expect you to not just say

"I agree. Sometimes you are cool, but usually you are full tard"

And instead it will be another condescending post trying to fan the flames

Yeah, I guess I agree.

I've always said I could see Ichiro being a world class golfer. Always thought that. His swing was so damn smooth and he was such a fluid and intelligent athlete.

I think the Dustin Johnson/Brooks Koepka model of being a dumb jock is pretty clear evidence that baseball douches would be good at golf if they focused on it.

Curry is probably 99.5th percentile of all citizens of the United States. That's a stud athlete to me.

Dustin Pedroia and Julian Edelman would be hilarious golfers. Both are douchy west coast bros, but have more grit than sandpaper.

And then all of a sudden being 9 made me love golf?

And the boom in golf ratings was all due to a bunch of 8 year olds turning 9?

Uhhh... No. But your real life understanding of golf pre tiger as being boring, out of shape, CPAs is informed by your 8 year old mentality. Even at the height of tiger's golf, most 8 year olds found golf boring.

Your lack of logic and goal post shifting in this thread is hilarious to watch.
