Has Panarin matured a lot this season? I know that was sort of a thing stopping teams from trading for him at the deadline (along with a new contract), but he is solid out there this series

NBA playoffs should eliminate their first round and make it the top four from each conference. You hardly ever see a 7 or 8 seed win the first round in the NBA. It happens practically every year in the NHL.
Two reasons for this. First one hot goalie on an inferior team can beat a superior team. Second, the bench matters in the NHL playoffs. You can't leave your third and fourth lines and your third defensive pair on the bench like you can in the NBA.
