im still incredibly nervous about this series. While we were good enough to get the win last night, not sure we're playing well enough to win this series given how we've played through the first 6 periods. Sharks forechecking is killing us. Our D-men keep coughing up the puck in our own zone.

Listening to couture last night sounds like there are issues in Sharks locker room to me. He was bussing everyone for not working hard enough

A team with this much firepower doesn't need help scoring. Doing this will eventually kill us. But I guess you can think positive and say we'll likely clean it up or Schenn, ROR, Volodya get it going and we're right there with them then.
Anything we get out of Tarasenko is a bonus at this point.
They just need to stop hanging Binnington out to dry and we have a decent chance.

That's what you need to win. You need secondary to show up. Everyone at this point has elite top lines. It comes down to who can win the battle of 2nd and 3rd lines. Blues dominated that matchup last night.

I really don't know how to feel about the Blues. Their best players have been non-existent, but they're three wins away from the SCF. You'd have to think they're going to get it going, h
The main issue I have seen from them is a lack of explosiveness that lets other teams hang around a lot longer than they should. Until last night, other than the final game against Winnipeg(and even that was all Schwartz) they hardly ever scored two goals in a row. They keeping getting these 1-0 and 2-1 leads but they never stretch the lead out. Compare that to what Boston has done when they get a one goal lead in a game to get my point. They don't score goals in flurries like the Sharks and Bruins have. And even when they do it takes them 30 minutes of playing time to do it.

The Blues top line has been far from elite in the postseason.
It's almost as if other teams devote the bulk of their defensive resources to stopping that line.

but one thing that the blues dominate in is the 3rd period. just owning the 3rd through the playoffs.

We were able to score on Bishop, we can score on wannabe Bishop, aka Rask

Has a team ever won a Stanley Cup with a power play this terrible?

Two or three great chances there.
