No kidding. Fluery kicking in one of the goals was an extremely lucky break. Golden Knights also hit the crossbar in the 3rd period too.

Nobody would have expected this out of VGK. Nobody should expect this from Seattle.

This. Vegas had Vegas at 500:1 odds. Everyone expected vegas to be the worst team in the league after the draft, anyone who says otherwise is lying. Its only very recently that vegas is in the cup that people are crying about the draft.

Maybe they should play defense? I don't know. Ended up a dud ending.

I know. plus there were a good amount of no-calls both ways. The refs are at least pretty consistent with this.

Letting them play. It's for the Cup. I'm fine with it.

I mean the Reaves x-check should've been called and it would have directly affected the game. But that's a part of the game, theres a bit of violence in that spot always and its easy to be overlooked since its off-puck. Its a human game with human refs. in general Letting them play is much better viewing wise and in fairness than getting tons of garbage high stick penalties when the guy hand passes the puck to himself.

Stayed home tonight. Not a good idea to go out when you're fighting a stomach virus.

Caps fans are gonna get really salty when Wilson gets suspended for Game 2.

Oh, someone asked about Chopper and Towbin Dodge earlier. Chop's still does his commercials but I haven't seen Prem (Blue Genie) on them in a while. Also, he's not listed on their site, so draw your own conclusions on that. LINK

I was so happy to see Reaves score the tying goal.

Both goalies usually dont give up that many. Both made really good saves and basically every goal was unsaveable or just unlucky.

Thankfully, Fleury's Loris Karius moment didn't cost VGK.

Owner Bill Foley's motto after the Expansion Draft..."playoffs in 3, Cup in 6."

I'd say that VGK are ahead of schedule.

A team full of solid and hungry 2nd/3rd liners that are happy to have found a home that wants them is a dangerous thing. They get to start team traditions and really take ownership. Many highly experienced players.

Ironically they just interviewed Chop Towbin outside the stadium on a local channel.

If Wilson gets sat then the screw job is in. What Marchessault did was dirtier. But I know you’ll make an excuse and say something untrue. Wilson’s hit was justice being handled because the officials didn’t take control.

Back in my postal days, I delivered to the dealership for a while and met Chop and Genie a couple of times. They kept trying to sell me a car but once I told them, "well, I have 2 good vehicles and the Durango that you sold to my brother is a POS"...they didn't say much to me afterwards.

2 wrongs don't equalize, so take this ignoring marchessault's actions. Wilson's hit was rather dirty. although I don't think this hit warrants a suspension I could see how he could be suspended given his recent history of the same. Wilson is really making a name for illegal hits.

ps I tried to search for a replay of marchys hit and couldnt find it.

Someone's salty.

I'm an old school guy when it comes to sports. As far as I'm concerned, it's playoff hockey. That said, we've seen how these days, guys can get sneezed on and draw penalties...this may be Wilson's rep catching up to him. Personally, I hope that he gets to play. I don't want any excuses.

The officials tonight had a bad game. Missed calls, being in the way, and puzzling decisions. I get you’re going to miss things, but to be involved in plays in inexcusably bad. And it was noticeable Vegas twice had cleats hit linesmen as did Washington. There were times the officials were used as active picks, which should never happen.
