So "because we've already been doing it for a while" is the best justification? That is terrible logic.
And you want to use the same ‘terrible logic’ to remove a tradition?

Lyrically and sonically, it's a pretty lousy song.
Music is art. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yes? We get that YOU don’t like the song, but you can’t spout off that it’s lousy as some fact that can be proven.

It doesn't rhyme
Get this...some poems don’t rhyme either. This isn’t country music, bud.

SVG just asked a question. "Why do we do this?" No one has given an intelligible response yet.
it was started (before every game) during World War II when most stadiums finally had speakers so they wouldn't have had to hire a band to play it. It was to increase patriotism and morale during a world war and I'd say it was probably a great thing at the time. Now it no longer serves the purpose of raising morale because people are constantly bitching about it being played or people kneeling and whatnot. it is a net negative compared to just not playing it at all.

Not a high volume poster, but easily one of the worst on the board. He’s been a blind sheep on here. Not long ago he was flapping his gums about the importance of the republic and our constitution, and now he’s taking these stances?
I’d say he was a troll, but his post history suggests he just ain’t too bright.

He’s not wrong. Why feel the need to shove patriotism into non-international sporting events? It’s moronic and unnecessary and an empty AF gesture.
I’d rather home teams develop some kind of fight song for fan involvement. That’d at least make sense.

The sad state of the country when patriotism is viewed as a negative. Thanks progressives.

Forced patriotism is a negative.

I guess you voted for and think Trump was a patriot

Wow an actual social construct. You are either a patriot or you are not. It is not something that is forced.

This country is so oppressive they can openly hate the country, president and a large percent of the population with no concern about repercussions lol

This is a pathetic response in everyway.
You literally offer no rebuttal.
SVG asked the question and I answered it strongly and then your response was just a bunch of nonsense.
Must be brainwashed in CRT.

This is how he argues. His next step will be to twist your words around, claim you said something, but never be able to offer up the quote or post.
