It is alleged that they obtained information on Astros’ scouting reports of players, trade talks and other proprietary information. Basically, it’s corporate espionage.
I don’t expect you to understand any of those big words. So let me dumb it down for you.
Y’all’s front office nerds stole brain stuff from the Astros’ front office nerds.

Here’s the thing. You don’t get to act like this isn’t a big deal.
For decades you have wrongly, but aggressively, asserted your moral supremacy over every other fanbase in the world. You even made up a bullshite “Cardinals Way” theory of playing the game correctly.
Your last two managers…the drunk and the current guy whose brain is slowly turning into CTE pudding…both believe in “retaliating” against other teams if they even suspect those teams are trying to steal their precious signs.
Your franchise has decided to be the baseball police and throw at players who you don’t think are playing the right way.
So when you do something that isn’t just pushing a boundary–but actually committing a federal crime, you don’t get to play the awful “Haters gonna hate” card.

No, I asked you to enlighten me on what it is you claim I do not understand. I understand the allegations. And I understand some are jealous of the Cards as can be seen in the douche opinions. Try again.

See, thats the problem. Almost every Cardinal fan here hasnt defended this.
I know it bends over your little narrative. Also, Cardinals are the only team that has thrown at players? Really man?
The irrationality of the hate is what I always found hilarious. I dont give a rip if you hate me or the Cardinals but its the justifications some of you come up with that have kept me entertained for years and years.

Yeah, I'm not real big on moral relativism. Not sure why any other team or franchise having legal issues should affect the way Cardinals are veiwed or the way they're punished.

Actually, you don't understand anything apparently, which isn't much of a surprise since you're a jort-wearing Cardinal frick.
Your franchise is run by cheaters with a roster populated by cheaters.
Your previous manager was a drunk who presided over the most-roided-up team of the Steroid Era, which is quite an accomplishment when you stop and think about it. He's also the same guy who threatened writers who had the temerity to point out his drunk-arse pitcher could have killed someone if he hadn't plowed into the back of a tow truck first.
Your current nearly brain-dead manager continues to perpetuate some fricked-up code that requires his players to attempt to injure any player on another team who is perceived to have committed an affront to the game.
Meanwhile, your front office fricks are too fricking stupid to realize they're committing real federal crimes that lead to prison time.
Yet, for some reason, you and the other idiots in your meth-addled fan base continue simper about being the "Best Fans in Baseball" and how your team "does things the right way."
Well, unless the right way includes the right way includes multiple DUIs and violations of federal law, I'm not sure you understand what the 'right way" means.
If I'm typing too fast for you to keep up, let me know.

Taking a break from work. Am I the only one who thinks this thread is filled with idiocy on both sides of the argument?
Here's the thing:
We know next to nothing. Deadspin claims that what they reported on last year or the year before (I can't remember) when the Astros' trade information was leaked is a direct result of the "hack" into Luhnow's system (hack in quotations to avoid any sort of semantic argument). They have nothing to substantiate this.
So, we think someone at the Cardinals organization was involved in accessing Luhnow's account, presumably to see what sort of trades were being negotiated and/or to frick with Luhnow due to some bitterness between the parties.
That's pretty much the extent of what we know.
We know that this could be really bad. This could lead to massive firings in the front office of the organization, sanctions by the MLB, prison for some people, etc. The likelihood of a "death sentence" is so minuscule, however, that it seems hardly relevant to the conversation. Those prophesying that the Cardinals will lose previous World Series Championships, will have to sit out the postseason, or will be dismantled are either insane or trolling. Or both.
On the other hand, this could wind up being nothing. The FBI is concluding its investigation soon. We will find out.
Regardless, unless they can somehow show how the Cardinals cheated on the field, I don't see how this should taint any success they've had thereon. Will it? Of course. Look at the fools on this board.
Finally, finally there's something about the organization itself that can be lambasted. No longer are those who hate the Cardinals confined to perceived sleights by an umpire or a player. No longer are those who hate the Cardinals fans confined to calling the amorphous "Cardinal fan" a jort-wearing, meth-smoking, racist. They have something they can hang on to now, and by God they all plan to pile on top and have a good ol' fashioned orgy.
On the other hand, you have delusional Cardinal fan X talking about how this is commonplace and not a big deal. It isn't commonplace and it is a big deal, if for no other reason than the novelty of it and the fact that the Cardinals, whether of their own accord or otherwise, have been held up as the shining beacon for all sports organizations to strive toward. When our heroes fall from grace, the fall is much more difficult and painful than when our enemies do. And while the haters would never say that the Cardinals are the organization of heroes, I think, if they were being rational, up until about 24 hours ago, they would admit that the Cardinals are the model organization in almost all sports.

You continue to illustrate your inability to separate your hatred for the Cardinals from the situation and, unbeknownst to you, you are perpetuating the stereotypical "hater" of the Cardinals (or really any) organization.
I applaud you, however, for your use of the word "simper."

Its not just here tduecen, it happens a lot in other places as well
Take the foul mouthed rant above:
Cries about steroids.
Cries about hitting batters.
Cries about off field issues.
Its like the Cardinals are the only team that these were/are issues for/happen to
That is irrational and hypocritical.
It all circles back to the "BFIB" thing and the Cardinals winning. The BFIB thing is a joke. It was media driven and player voted and the media just ran with it. Wish it never would have started. I wont apologize for the Cards success on the field though.
