Ya I forgot Westbrook was out during the Playoffs. I still don't see them beating the Spurs in a 7 game series....no way IMO.I also don't see the Clippers having any shot because Parker owns Chris Paul. He absolutely schools his arse, at least whenever I watch them play. The Heat are the only team with a chance IMO.

I think the Thunder would beat the Spurs in the playoffs.

But I don't think that is contradicting my statement. The Thunder are really good.

I hope the Spurs win, because I think they'd beat Miami. The Thunder wouldn't.

That's the conundrum many are facing, tbh.

OKC is a bad matchup for SA, but SA is a better matchup for MIA.

Gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out. MIA pretty much has a cakewalk back to the Finals, but the West is littered with darkhorses.

It's pretty much sacrilege to say that around here, but I agree, of course

But I'm biased, so no one takes me very seriously on that one.

I should say "has anyone seen them play recently". Paul had some success a few years ago but Parker has just owned him lately in every game I have watched.

Parker's teams also defeated Paul's teams in the playoffs in '08 and '12.

CP3 may be the better pure PG, but Parker runs his team's offense better, more efficiently, and more consistently.

CP3 vs Parker..... LOL!!! LINK

ETA: I can't stand CP3 in case you didn't notice. I mean...he let one of his teams lose in the Playoffs by 58 points! When was the last time Parker has done that?

A painful memory for me, no doubt, but Paul did just about everything he was capable of doing against a clearly superior Spurs team.

Approximately 23/10/4/3 on 50% shooting is really fricking good. Pops putting Bowen on Peja after Game 2 is what changed that series.

That and you guys are the got damn Spurs and we were inexperienced

That was a HELLuva series

Honestly, y'all taking us to 7 is probably what caused us to run out of gas that year against LA.

Well that and you had to play against Kobe in his absolute prime!

I agree, the Spurs lost a heart breaker in game 1 of that series if I recall, and you could just tell they were out of gas.

GREAT series, though. When we were up 2-0 after two blowouts I was just sure we had made it.

I'm pretty sure almost every game in that series was a blowout win for someone, though. Game 7 got tight for a brief moment at the end thanks to Pargo, but it still ended up being a 9-point loss I believe.

Yup, had a big lead in game 1 and couldn't keep the energy up.

I never say never, but that was gut check time

I just remember being on pins and needles throughout. I wasn't happy, I was relieved after that series It was a classic.

That and Kobe going for 30+ most of the games and like 40 in the final game IIRC.

We were always gonna let Kobe get his, just try to limit everyone else.

Odom was the killer for us

Yeah, just had to go and check. Kobe averaged 29.2 a game in that series. Very good, but it was his efficiency that impressed me: 53% shooting as a guard against the Spurs is insane.

Holy shite, he shot 40% against the Celtics in the Finals?!

Yeah, Kobe was throwing a tennis ball into a swimming pool most of the playoffs

Let him? Seriously though that was your best game plan.

Kobe was pretty bad both times against the Celtics in the finals. If not for the real 2010 MVP, Pau Gasol, Kobe would be 0-2 against the C's in the finals.
