I wanted to hold off on making this post until more sports without fans started but what the hell else do I have to do? So after watching some UFC and German soccer today and some Champions League soccer before everything got shut down I almost hope they don't even bring sports back until fans can be a part of it.

Am I alone here? I mean I love sports more than anything besides my kids and I am dying for things to come back but watching these fights/matches it just feels so empty. No emotion, no excitement, when goals are scored it is celebrated as enthusiastically as goals in my Wednesday night adult league (which is to say not very much). Half the time I thought the goal was waived off or something.

I can't even imagine an emotion energy driven sports like football without fans. Baseball wouldn't be as bad but still. I hate to even say it because it feels negative but I gotta say early results have me far from excited for a return to sports in empty venues.

They duped us good. Now we gotta take what we can get and chip away back to normal. Long road ahead but we'll get there.

I think UFC without fans was awesome. The sounds are incredible.

It's strange because I want no part of college football without fans. But, with NFL, I want to see it.

You selfish bastard. It’s the “New Normal”. You better get used to it.

I like it. Like Crow said, you get to hear things you normally wouldn't hear. Permanently? Hell no, but I like the change of pace. It's something you normally wouldn't get

College football without the bands unless they allow them is what I’ll miss.

That’s exactly what it feels like to me. The energy, emotion, and passion are what I love about sports. All those things are reduced to almost zero with no fans

I watch CFB spring games. I imagine NFL games without fans will be similar. I'll watch.

Will I watch? Probably if there’s nothing else going on but I can’t see myself making a point to or getting excited about it.

Just watch the Chargers or Falcons.

I haven't watched other sports without the fans, but the UFC has been a smashing success.

Granted, the UFC with no fans does bring some positives with it.

An NFL game without fans would suck tremendously comparative to having fans in the stands. (I'd still watch though).

some of y’all on this board I question if y’all even like sports?

The impact of sports coming back will be felt when people have more to look forward to every weekend. Ironically, if you want people to stay home, having sports teams play without fans keeps a lot of them there and watching on tv.

I’m not sure I would go as far as to say I hope they don’t come back if there aren’t fans.

I agree that fans are a huge part of the entertainment value even when you’re just watching on TV.

Forgot about the Bundesliga, so I don't know how that was. Though I have seen soccer games with no home crowds before (home team penalized) and it was weird.

But for UFC, it's has been great. Hasn't affected my viewing experience much.

In fighting, the fans are crazy, but they don’t feel as a part of the action as they do in other sports. I actually like ufc without fans, even though ultimately I want them back. I have no desire to see what football or basketball is without fans though
